About SASSA SRD Status Check

sassasrdstatuscheck.net is an independent information website built to help South Africans understand SASSA and SRD processes without pretending to be a government service.

What we do

We organise official-source information into practical guides for status checks, payment problems, appeals, banking-detail actions, common SRD status messages and social grants. Where a task must be completed through government, we link users to the official service instead of collecting information we do not need.

What we do not do

We do not approve or decline grants, make SASSA decisions, guarantee payments, sell grant approvals, or represent the South African Social Security Agency. We are not affiliated with SASSA or the South African Government.

How we build trust

Our editorial approach prioritises primary sources such as SASSA, the Department of Social Development and gov.za. Pages show official sources where relevant, and time-sensitive facts should be reviewed when the official source changes.

Privacy by design

The status-check interface is designed so ID numbers and cellphone numbers are submitted by POST rather than placed in public URLs. The application code does not intentionally write status-query credentials into the content database.
