We aim to collect less personal information, especially around status lookups.

Status-check inputs

The status-check form may require the ID number and cellphone number associated with an SRD application. The application is designed to send those fields by POST, not place them in the URL, and not intentionally persist them in our content database. If a verified provider is not configured, the site directs users to the official SASSA service.

Server and security logs

Hosting infrastructure may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times and security events. Our application code is designed not to intentionally write the submitted ID number or cellphone number into application logs.

Analytics and advertising

If analytics or advertising tools are added, they should not be configured to receive status-form values. This policy should be updated before new tools materially change data handling.

Third-party links

Links to SASSA and other government sites lead to services controlled by those organisations. Their privacy practices apply once you leave this website.

Do not submit unnecessary sensitive data

Do not send us bank PINs, card PINs, online-banking passwords, OTPs or copies of identity documents through general contact channels.
